The variety of resorts in Malta is a plus for any holiday maker. Some like the hustle and bustle of larger resorts with a good choice of shops, restaurants, cafes and nightlife while others like the peace, charm and character of smaller resorts. Malta has both but also, due to the size of the island, you can stay at one resort and visit another for the day or evening.

SLIEMA

Situated on the east coast of Malta, Sliema is considered an upmarket resort with a good range of shops, boutiques and sea front restaurants. Great views to Valletta, boat trips round the harbours and a very nice promanade which eventualy runs in to St Julian's.

ST JULIANS

St Julian’s and St Julians Bay are geared more to the young set (or young at heart) with good nightlife and plenty of bars and cafes. One of the busier Malta resorts it has a number of seafront lidos, large cinema complex and 10 pin bowling.

BUGIBBA

Built on St Paul's Bay Bugibba has a wonderful promenade frequented by both tourists and locals. The rocky shoreline, bathing platforms and clear water mean this is a great area for swimming and snorkeling. The choice of nightlife in Bugibba consists of clubs, bars and a casino!

MELLIEHA BAY

If you are looking for a quieter resort then Mellieha Bay may be just for you. The longest beach on Malta, Ghadira Beach in Mellieha Bay is what holidays abroad are all about, sun, sea and sand. Even if you don't stay there, it's worth a drive out to the resort just to relax and boost your tan. With a gently shelving beach, Mellieha has water sports galore, kite or windsurfing, water-skiing, diving and snorkeling and all guaranteeing more fun than you can shake a flipper at!

VALLETTA

PACEVILLE

Paceville, next to St Julians, is the entertainment hub of the area with clubs, discos and bars all guaranteeing a buzzing nightlife for also souvenir shops

QAWRA

Qawra runs on from Bugibba and is the quieter of the two resorts, the later having the main shops, restaurants and nightlife.
